I am doing better today. Having not only my stuff, but my friends stuff stolen really broke me. I didn't do the due diligence of making sure it was locked... Even if it was, I'm sure they would have smash and grab anyways. I'm still shaken up by the whole ordeal, but I will be fine.

I also upgraded the pop!_OS to 24.04 so I guess I'm dog fooding COSMIC now. Great job btw guys.

Okay I made some orders for sensible upgrades like maxing out its DDR3 ram from 8gb to 16gb. Thank goodness I didn't have to pay the exorbitant prices for that. Also ordered a 1tb sata SSD to replace the 750gb spinning disk in it.

Hello old friend. I got this laptop for free from Microsoft ironically from a Twitter contest years ago. She may be a 4th gen Intel laptop but it still has some pep. At least I can get usb-C 20v PD to barrel jack cables for this. @socialhappiness.bsky.social You would recognize the sticker.

I mean I got to introduce the steamdeck to some indi devs for their game Seas of Raesenia and I was looking forward to playtesting and giving them feedback on the Steamdeck, but that not happening... Plus with my laptop, everything is backed up, but now I gotta deal with disconnecting Nextcloud from it and hopefully do a remote wipe, but I doubt that's going to happen. I already secured my accounts and most of them required a passkey or yubi key. Plus I still have to replace it... Framework. Idk... At the end of the day, no one was hurt, but now I'll probably skip over Seattle if I ever travel on that side of the state from now on... Sucks cause I always look forward to visiting it from time to time.... So basically I going home with nothing... Except my Honda which that would have been a whole other can of worms if that was stolen...

Well.... We were robbed... In Seattle of all places.... My laptop, steamdeck...and all the merch I and those travelling with me bought from Anime Washington. We were parked near Pike's Marketplace when this happened... No one was hurt...just replaceable stuff stolen... It just sours a trip we all four saved up our hard earned money for that all... Yeah it sucks...quite 4hr drive home this is going to be.
