Editits the part the punk rock era missed
To those wondering why so many bitcoiners are Christians (or so many Christians are bitcoiners?): "to look into the Holy Scriptures... and what I saw there is something not disclosed to the proud or laid bare to children; one must stoop to enter, but it is lofty within, and veiled in mysteries. Such was my character at that time that I could not enter; I could not bend my neck to follow its path." - St. Augustine: Confessions The parallels are hard to ignore. I don't know what this means.
Dangerously close to convincing myself to go dumb phone + desktop only.
Thanks, I just did it!
Sorry to hear all that. Listen to the wives, somehow they often have more wisdom than us.
As a whiskey drinker, that whiskey take is good. I need to shape up.
It’s very disheartening when you present a problem to someone (like this week’s most egregious overstep of the surveillance state, or the brokenness of the monetary system) and they just look at you. They did not know this info before you told them, but somehow there is still no reaction. They just simply don’t care. There is no spark, no fight. The system did its job on them perfectly. This is how we lose.
Stewards of God’s creations. The government needs to learn this.
I haven’t fully thought it out yet-have lots of half baked ideas. There is a lot to it. In a spiritual war, it would be a very effective tactic to disguise/brand demonic activity as UFO sightings. And there is the mysterious nephilim/watchers rabbit hole that seems to conflate fallen angels with aliens. I see a lot of people that are not Christian that believe the anunaki are aliens. Even the red pill blue pill narrative tends to draw people towards the simulation theory of reality. I wonder if the vast universe and its mysteries are there to teach us a lesson and test faith.
Probably true but I feel like lots of the best art throughout history came out of times when people were really struggling. Lots of art starts falling flat after the artist has “made it”. We live in weird times where we can be totally comfortable but also in absolute misery….so maybe things are different now. Also I think creativity is stifled by continual bombardment of dopamine (our phones)
I’ve been thinking this a little lately. Super unpopular opinion.
Was thinking about having a grapheneos phone that I’d keep turned off for “emergency” needs. Could either hot spot off my dumb phone or sim swap back and forth.
Idk…maybe both? Struggle surely produces stronger emotional responses than comfort. It’s all subjective I guess but I feel like strong emotion produces the best art. Maybe I’m just a dumb brute but I like art that makes me feel something.
What happens to a society when the technocrats and politicians own the data that allows them to understand you better than you understand you? Do you think they will use it to improve and enrich YOUR life?
Is everyone creative?
The bears are weeping
Since it’s not taught in school, economic literacy is genetic. If your parents or another in your life didn’t instill it in you, it’s unlikely you’ll ever get it.
I feel like I was on the cusp of realizing this and you just slammed the point home. Makes good sense. Even if just a small amount of capital made them rich, the early ones would have been the only sources actively spreading info about Bitcoin.
Deranged, heat stroke induced garden thoughts. Farm larp pics.
