thanks! I'll play around with it more, I thought I was registering users successfully but still no luck with them being able to read/write to the relay when auth was turned on.
Thats awesome
Hi , I''ve been playing around with trying to use a self-hosted instance of nostrcheck. First off, the onboarding script you have for it is incredible work. I'm not a very technical person and it has worked successfully for me a few times now without issues, from start to finish. I'm trying to use a nostrcheck self-hosted relay that I created as a nip-42 auth'd relay. The goal is basically to use it in flotilla.social, but if that doesn't work to use it as a simple kind 1 relay that can be used with friends and family So far, I haven't been able to figure out how to authorize users (the test users that I have created can't write to or see the relay unless I turn off auth). Curious if that functionality is not finished or perhaps im missing something. No worries if you aren't in a place to reply, but thought I'd check. Again, fantastic one-click deployment of a relay...really cool nice job.
Perhaps. Im sure all of this was already being done by the various agencies responsible for letting people into the country anyways, so i suppose the announcement is garnering a bit too much outrage. It does feel easily gamable though...for sophisticated actors. I wonder how useful it will be for accurate assessment.
This is a test run for the government using such morality tests for things well beyond the 'acceptable' target and purpose. Consider how the patriot act was implemented under such a guise and how much both political parties have abused the american people with their shiny new powers. In 5 years we will be social media testing US Citizens for all kinds of shit after they successfully see little / no resistance in this first go. You should consider that this has nothing to do with the targets themselves...that is where much of the outrage comes from.
Hmm, so I have my blossom drive for uploading set as my haven relay: https://havenrelay.thatwhichisnotseen.net. But, when I upload an image using multiple clients for testing, the file is succesfully uploaded to my haven (I can see it in the folder), but the client reads: https://thatwhichisnotseen.net/.jpeg. For some reason, the 'havenrelay.' section of the string is being dropped. Any ideas? 🤔 I can't confirm but I've been running this haven relay for two days now, and this was not happening until this afternoon I believe. #asknostr
Rediculous
