Agree with you. Sometimes I think it can't be as simple as bringing in migrants for more votes. Ruining the country just for votes it doesn't even make sense. There must be ulterior motives.

Over in the UK the sugar tax made all soft drinks use artificial sweetener instead. Atleast with sugar I knew the bad effects of what I consumed. The artificial sweeteners will no doubt turn out to be poisonous.

Short answer is no. Your stove should be sealed and all the gasses go up the flue and chimney. If it does leak it won't just be CO2 but also CO carbon monoxide, which could put you in a very long sleep. Get a carbon monoxide alarm. But you should be fine.
