Asking for your experience with and rather big amounts (starting from 1K fiat, for example). Do you prefer one transaction only or rather split the purchase into smaller chunks to avoid having too much cash with you or so? Also, Blockchain or Lightning? If blockchain, how do you make sure that the transaction worked out, as it might tak time until you see it on your wallet? #asknostr

No problem at all, I understand your point and really appreciate the link. I’ll check your printables, she loves painting and arts and crafts. We do a lot of that together as well. As well as playing with analogical stuff and enjoying nature and moving :) I know that those apps are not the best practice for learning, I am a linguist myself and understand those language learning or acquisition processes, and I als work with digital products and have the backstage of how they’re developed. I’m trying to find a balance there, keeping an eye on time, content etc. we have a kids’ device and she doesn’t have permanent access to it… it’s challenging and I’m trying my best and I appreciate we can exchange about that. Fair point. I recognise it’s good for vocabulary memorisation, though. But like most apps out there, the dopamine kick is probably most attractive perk. Good that her time on the device is limited anyway :)

Post GN fun: Kid 2 asked me to allow her to install Duolingo on her tablet (she’s 8 and can only access a limited number of apps and actually no site, unless I unblock it via parental app). Well, she sees me doing Duolingo, I allowed her to do it. She starts learning chess to beat her father in it (her words.) And she starts a freaking Portuguese course. (Brazilian) Portuguese is my native language and I have been speaking it to her since she was born. She of course, gets everything right in the course. I’ll give up trying to understand it. 🤣 let’s see how long her streak goes. I doubt she’ll beat mine, lol.
