My umbrel node has been broken for a YEAR, just because I wanted to upgrade hardware. Previous setup was raspberry pi 4 + external SSD. I wanted to upgrade to a pi 5 with an NVME. SO I DID. And have been having major issues ever since. Apparently the NVME connector is shit for the (expensive) case I got and the issue was simply unstable I/O. Finally had enough and upgraded to a lenovo thinkcentre mini. Finally up and running again, everything is stable and I can once again rely on my own node for onchain and lightning transactions and that feeling is just epic.

Bitcoin has the same problem. (But for different reasons) If you have non kyc sats and want to remain private you might find some friction getting rid of your sats. However, noone will be in doubt whether your sats are real.
