Very good and interesting points. What did you think to the tornado cash mixing service they were doing and the like? The main point for btc is that the first thing for btc to solve it monetary debasement. Which it solves. Obviously scaling and privacy need to be solved completely. But that work should only be done on bitcoin that solves the first problem well. Monero doesn't have a finite supply and the main devs / creators still have too much control. Bitcoin is the only truly decentralized money we have that cannot be taken out as it stands. All others have massive weaknesses. Running your own nodes is obviously the way forward. Yes, the server based system is weak which tends to always centralize too much. Nostr could centralize too much into a handful of client provides, but even then people can move clients or self host. Although I only believe in btc as money, I do pay attention to other privacy projects. The most interesting one to me is the Autonomi Network being built by Maidsafe. A project that has been going on longer than bitcoin has been around. They have a beta network live that is completely decentralized, and has no servers in the traditional sense. Users can create an account with no ID, upload data, create apps websites, etc and only users that have the encryption can decrypt their data from the network. Each data node only has small parts of data from a user that is constantly moving around the network with lots of redundancy. If nodes turn off the data self heals and replicates. Is a very interesting and complex project. I'm really hoping the succeed because it will be a massive win for privacy anddecentralization for the people. I don't know where my other reply has gone? You seemed to be talking about Nostr when the post you shared is talking about altcoins and the scaling issue of blockchains, which is being compared to bitcoin not Nostr.
