I don't hate Bitcoin and hold that view. You guys are ostriches fucking up a good idea with potential.

The devs behind nitter received a cease and desist from X. nitter is open source software that allows people to see posts on X without an account, without JavaScript, basically in private. If nostr wasn't so Bitcoin maxi focused, it would be a good place for people disillusioned by X to come to. Instead, Bitcoin maximalists like have made sure nostr is mostly a place for Bitcoin maximalists, with tons of native features designed just for Bitcoin, with niche Bitcoin features only diehard maxis care about and will use. Bitcoin maxis are great at fucking up good ideas.

How'd you add a Monero address to your profile?

nostr needs more Monero content and Monero friendly features. The Coldcard saga should have shown how hollow the Bitcoin maximalist toxicity is. Rational humans should begin to recognize Monero is building a strong tool for resisting censorship and maintinaing privacy.

Monero is used for real world commerce in higher % than BTC in the places that accept XMR. BTC has degenerated into a speculative asset. No meaningful upgrades to the p2p use case on the horizon. The current status for Bitcoin as censorship resistant money looks very weak. Most Bitcoiners are like ostriches these days or focused on unimportant bullshit like Bip 110 and not real practical ways to improve BTC as money. Monero is as always focused on the use case and working toward improving it. Good luck, ostrich ;)
