Parents who care about their children don't outsource the responsibility, explicitly to the state. Only the parents spend enough time around their kids to know their psychological age and so what level of freedom they can handle. This train of thought you are on, does not end well for the children, parents and society. "I am forced to pay taxes, so the state can at least parent my kids... then force them to pay taxes..." I apologize if this sounds aggressive but i think you can do a far better job then a government, parenting your own kids. Adaptive, bespoke parenting vs blanket solutions with convenient anti-societal consequences. You honestly care, the state honestly does not.
