That's my present "node2go" setup, and then I have core v29 and sparrow on my main desktop as a redundant node.

I have Ubuntu on a 2TB external SSD with knots and sparrow installed at present. Allows me to boot anywhere and have my chain data and wallets (signed by my coldcards, no keys on hot devices). Might consider switching to tails and trying your tool. Good tip on the chain data, forgot I should be able to just copy that over.
