That is heartening to hear. Among American Protestants, it is really just the (relatively small) Reformed wing (Reformed Baptists and Presbyterians) that maintain a continuity and connection to the historic Church and her practices.

Historically, the Church celebrated Advent, then Christmastide (Dec 25—Jan 5), then Epiphanytide. Most Evangelical Protestant churches in America have really lost sight of this history and ignore the historic Church calendar. Like so many other things, I think the modern Church really robs itself of a lot of joy by not observing Christmas as a whole season. Our church celebrates the Twelve days with various events throughout and we cap it off with a formal Twelfth Night ball on Jan 5. I should look into some solid reading material on it myself. What I have learned has been from scattered sources and from folks at our church. We will be going to our church service soon and I'll ask around for any good resources on the history of Christmastide and report back to you.

From a design perspective some processed food packaging is fun. And yes, if you are going to see what the scientists concocted and then make your own healthy version, I can get behind that.👌

I do see your points but it is a *classical* Christian education and typing/coding are not exactly in view with such a model. I think it makes sense that technical skills are meant to be learned elsewhere. Same with nutrition and cooking. Those are domestic arts that are more naturally reserved for learning at home. But I could be charitable enough to say that since so many households are lacking in this area it could be helpful to include some of that in a science curriculum. CC isn't perfect but I think we have to calibrate our expectations of what a supplementary program rooted in a model of classical education will reasonably offer.

Yes, this is the thing I have been most struck by since I joined Nostr. Interoperability is the killer app feature.
