Haven’t seen it yet, but your thoughts remind me of Blood Meridian, one of my favourite novels (another McCarthy like No Country). Maybe that nihilistic dark tone translates better on the page than screen where not rooting for anyone, and everyone’s a shade of “bad” is harder in a movie cause we’re conditioned to expect at least one protagonist to root for? Love the movie reviews, keep them coming!

Yeah agreed. I think let the market and people decide what fits their lives instead of government mandates and taxpayer subsidies is the way to go.

The cold weather performance and storage capacity of batteries is a problem, reduces range and Quebec can get cold too. West coast and Okanagan about the only reliably moderate winters. Big difference between Canada and Norway is distances. Last I checked I couldn’t physically get to and from the nearest charging station to where I back country ski and snowshoe without going to zero charge. I don’t know why hybrids aren’t promoted as a transition until transmission, charging stations and a more robust generation is in place.
