Football has reached that stage that once we drop down a few divisions, the game is totally unrecognisable from the game most play and played. This world cup has seen; - Players rolling around until they get a free kick - Dubious VAR and refereeing decisions - Play allowed to continue when it was known to be offside or a foul, only to bring play back - Ridiculous overtime making 90 minutes almost meaningless - Terrible treatment of certain teams and players by border control - Political interference and agendas - A dilution of quality by expanding the number of teams - The same cynical fouls - Bizarre water breaks, turning football into a four quarter game, which seems to be about increasing advertising revenue - exorbitant match ticket and hotel costs for many fans Whilst we have seen some good play, excellent players in part, am personally just about done with football at this level.
