I've wondered about this also. The fastest way for the the gubmint to get 1 mil BTC is to buy/confiscate someone else's. Strategy is creeping up on that 1 mil coins that they want.

I don't have it installed right now but I seem to remember a button to scan farther in the past. It was around where you setup the mint after entering the seed.
