If crypto dreamers continue to avoid decentralized layer 1 in lieu of "solutions" like Lightning, then yes, there is no real difference. But, if they make the independent choice, they can have decentralized money.

My initial recommendations for you are: 1. Create a profile on XMRBazaar.com and possibly add that link on your website. 2. Add links to your business accounts for Signal and Nostr (freedom tech) on your website. 3. Take a look into @bitrequest , it will enable you to accept multiple cryptos (self-custodially!) as payment. They have recently added integration with websites.
