Oooooo, interesting. It depends on the client. I see that doesn't handle mp3s, such that it recognizes them and allows you to play them directly. This makes me sad. I would think all media formats should be recognized by clients. Add to todo list ? does handle this directly, as does satellite.earth aka . But even there, there are differences. The first one works best on Amethyst - it shows a picture that you can click on an play, while the second doubles up on the picture. But even the first one on Amethyst I don't think is optimal, because there is no indication that it is an mp3, just the image. You have to realize that it is an mp3 and click on it.
