According the the government I am 80% disabled and am eligible for assistance. But the vast majority have some ability to provide for themselves to some degree. The fact that you do not have family is a tragedy of life or perhaps a failing of a society that has spent the last 100 years destroying the family in order to replace it with daddy government. The costs associated with caring for the disabled only strengthens my case. Why would we choose the least efficient capital allocator to solve this issue? We should be paying the government to protect the life, liberty and property of its citizens. Through the minimal application of force for both external threats and to maintain order internally.
