For a spiritual exercise: bear your cross. No, don’t just bear it. Revel under it. Be grateful for it. Smile, for this burden is a gift, an opportunity to participate in the redemption of the world. The heavier the load, the wider your smile should be, for you have been deemed blessed and capable enough to handle it.

Learn the whys in order to become wise

There was a stain on my trash can which I, for some reason, always assumed does not come off. So I never even tried to clean it. Today, I wiped it with a damp cloth and it came off. I’m not sure, but I think there’s a moral to this story.
