Yeah, in the rise of AI and deep fakes, being able to backtrack the original source and have a cryptographic proof could be increasingly useful. We need to integrate this into cameras and smartphones :-).
Wanted to test out vibecoding in Rust while doing something actually useful - ended up building a full #OpenTimestamps CLI from scratch. Feature parity with the Python reference, embedded Tor. Prebuilt binaries in Releases, no pip, no venv. #vibecodeevening https://github.com/v1b3coder/rust-opentimestamps
Will do 🫡. I didn't know such thing exists.
Good little boy!
Ah, that's interesting point. I did not realized Amethyst is using Tor by default.
Hello , few days ago I DM'd you and I'm not sure if you got that...
Thanks! Amethyst is unable to connect to your endpoint. At this moment I conclude the Amethyst is somehow broken as it has sinilar issues with multiple relays...
Testing Arti (Rust-based Tor implementation). The improvement in UX compared to traditional C impl. is jaw dropping. 🤯
What color?
Tor as implicit failover is great; most people really don't *need* it, until SHTF. Only then people realize most of the software is broken on high latency network.
For low latency application, yes, unfortunately. I still love Tor though.
