The Isdera Commendatore 112i was built in 1993 by Eberhard Schulz as a one-off supercar project. Under its gullwing engine cover lay Mercedes’ M120 6.0-litre V12, tuned to 400 horsepower and paired with a Getrag gearbox modified by RUF to add a sixth gear, giving the car a top speed beyond 220mph. A lightweight GRP body over a tubular chassis kept weight in check, while suspension borrowed from the Porsche 928 was reworked into a speed-sensitive system that lowered the car three inches at speed to cut drag.
