One's calling in life is what he's meant to do, should fulfill the deepest part of one's identity, and will bring him the greatest joy. A true vocation doesn't need to be a money maker, since fatherhood and motherhood are great vocations. This is in part why marriage is elevated to the status of sacrament in the Christian church, and it is called matrimony, which means mother-making.
