Hi, We probably all expected it to some extent, but it still caught me off guard when Wallet of Satoshi stopped supporting incoming payments to their custodial wallet in the EU. Even more shocking to me was the crippled payment option on Alza. I started dealing with the frustration by vibe-coding an app called Linky - for P2P Bitcoin payments. It’s meant for managing contacts you know personally and want to interact with freely. The app doesn’t use any proprietary backend, and you can clone it at any time and even run it locally. You always have access to your data. At the same time, you can instantly receive and send Bitcoin. Across different devices, you have the same Bitcoin, which also automatically creates an additional backup. For Bitcoin payments, well-known Cashu mints are used. I’d be happy if you helped me test it and gradually improve it. A few dozen of you are already actively helping, and thanks to that the app is literally getting better every single day. Please don’t keep too much money in it. 🙏 If it gets lost, I won’t be able to get it back to you. I don’t see any of your data, so I also don’t have access to your Bitcoin. The app has plenty of bugs! Right now I’m trying to polish the UX, and after that we’ll most likely start rewriting it gradually so it can be relied on. True, but doesn’t it work in both ways? Incetives work better with bitcoin → people are less dump after discovering bitcoin.
