#weathershot This is the view outside my window at 3 PM, and the weather has become quite pleasant now. Before 3 PM, it was very hot and sunny, but now the weather feels just right.

My mother always taught me a beautiful lesson: “Even if your enemy comes to your home, treat them with respect. Welcome them with kindness. Never let someone else’s behavior change the way you were raised to treat people.” There are so many beautiful things I have learned from my mother, but this is one lesson I have carried with me throughout my life. After marriage, I had to face situations where people spoke about me behind my back, questioned my character, and said hurtful things about me. And sadly, some of those people are my husband’s own relatives. Yet whenever they come to my home, I still welcome them with respect. I still treat them with warmth. I still make sure that there is no कमी in my hospitality. Not because I have forgotten what they said. Not because their words never hurt me. And certainly not because I agree with them. I do it because I remember my mother’s teachings. She taught me that someone else’s behavior should never become an excuse for me to lose my own dignity. I cannot control what people say behind my back, but I can control how I choose to behave in front of them. So I choose respect. I choose kindness. I choose hospitality. Not because I am weak, but because I know who I am and who raised me. Some lessons from a mother stay with you forever. And this one reminds me, every single time, that grace is not about how people treat you—it is about the kind of person you choose to remain despite how they treat you. ❤️
