As sovereign, free human beings, we are able to choose which paradigm we are operating within. As we do this, we naturally affect other paradigms through influence. We cannot change other paradigms ourselves, we can only change the one we're operating in. The paradigm you've described above is a choice someone can live within. I mean, someone can live and operate within the narrative that 'those things' are happening... sure, they might be happening. Now, the question becomes what will you do about it? Let's circle back to the beginning of this further explanation -> The Free Human Being. Are you living a life of Freedom? Are you creating your own paradigm? Or Are you living a life of Slavery? Are you submitting to someone else's paradigm? As the saying goes... "The choice is yours".
