Realizing this changed everything for me. Drugs are not extreme at all. In fact, they are a tool for achieving mediocrity. Again, drugs are mediocre, not extreme. Mediocrity is the name of the game. In a world trying to force you into compliance, drugs help you to go against your natural rhythm. They turn a wave into a flat line. They curb your enthusiasm for things that matter to you but aren't allowed. They push your energy toward things you know are boring and pointless, but which are requested of you. They numb the feeling of frustration about the broken social layer. The worst addicts aren’t those who have lost control of their lives, but rather, those who have control, thanks to drug use. Coke, caffeine, "content" on social media...you name it. All of these keep you functioning within the system by standardizing you to fit into a mediocre system. The most extreme thing you can do is quit all this and just be yourself. Quit. Quit everything. Be free. Taking the liberty to become who you are is the only worthwhile drug. PV.
