iRacing is going to be much harder if you start with ACC and LMU. You'll learn a bunch of bad habits that will cripple you in iRacing and people struggle to unlearn bad habits. For instance, in ACC and LMU you can just mash the brakes to 100% and ride the ABS. You can't do that in iRacing. If ABS kicks in, your braking effectiveness decreases, as it should, and you'll overheat the tyres and they'll turn into silly putty. The brakes behave differently in every car. The Porsche has legendary brakes. The Mustang stops about as good as a cement mixer. In ACC/LMU, every cars brakes are the same. Full braking - release. That's it. Tyres. Looking after your tyres in iRacing. Getting them up to temperature without damaging them. You can't just full throttle everywhere and rely on traction control. iRacing really focuses on the full race experience. Also, the servers in iRacing are very strict.
