bitcoin doesn't live in the ether or the cloud. there is no one bitcoin. you pc running a bitcoin node is the bitcoin. we have multiple bitcoin instances everywhere. bitcoin is the node you run. bitcoin is the node i run. bitcoin is the nodes we all run. they are all bitcoin, individually. that's what "decentralized" is in the context of bitcoin. running your own node is one of the MOST important thing about bitcoin. without it, bitcoin is not longer decentralized. everything in the genesis of bitcoin designed to keep it as easy as to run. yes we need to have a timechain, so we can prevent double spending, keep track of the utxos we might receive one day. make sure they are not spent. keep track of our lightning channels. its a necessary compromise. we limited the block size, we slowed down the block time to 10 mins. so it doesnt become a big burden. people sacrifice their storage space, so they can prevent double spending. anything more is a burden, unnecessary burden. so its not surprising people want less of the burden on their ledger. and its their ledger. its not one ledger. bitcoin is not a democracy. everyone has their own ledger and if you dont have the utxo on my ledger then your utxo is not valid. idk man, i talk too much.

i tried to simplify the point to the ogaa bogaa language. because people talk too much, lose the context too much. forget the underlying. bitcoin is not bitcoin without you running your own node. decentralized in bitcoin means, everyone has their own bitcoin state on their machines. if you are not using your own node, you are not a bitcoin user. you are a trusted bitcoin paper user. trusting others. running a node already a huge burden. (not easy as installing an app on your phone). you need to plan for storage space, bandwidth. even after having a node, its not useful if you dont install and build some other things around it. yes you can buy a mini home server hardware for it like start9, but buying a device just for bitcoin is still a big barrier. the total discoverable node count shows that. so making running a node even by 1% harder over and over again is a bad idea. making it easier? now that's amazing.

ok interesting post. i have been reading it, and also reading reactions to it. i have a genuine question. its important because, i mean people who try to quote this posts seem to have something in common. i mean its obvious but, i just wanna make sure anyway. do you have hard time understanding what you read? or just lack of sleep maybe? i mean i don't wanna call anyone retarded. but man, do you even understand what you read? or maybe you are understanding what you read but, like do you ever think a little deeply? or you just a shallow thinker? seeing some keywords and reacting to them? without understanding meaning of things. or reasons of things. one more thing, this is kinda unrelated but might be connected. when people you look up to say something you just follow, and agree with them all the time? do you ever disagree with them? and if disagreement passes a threshold, do you unfollow them and stuff. or just keep riding behind them? i mean if you do follow them always this might explain trying to find things to win an argument on behalf of them so much that you dont even read or understand anything and just see some keywords that looks weird and get it as a proof of your side, maybe? the way people react to this very basic fact about bitcoin is really fascinating. so weird. the thing i wonder is, would you understand the meaning and implications of sentence if someone you look up to said it? like do you block understanding it in your brain because luke said it only? if that's the case, i really really wonder what made you hate luke so much? like is it a social effect? caused by your circle? or home feed? i mean really fascinating to think about all the ways that might have created reaction you all give to this lost. its like watching someone get mad because someone posted sky is blue.
