For 18 years, I've carried this frustration. Ever since 2007, when Austrian economics opened my eyes to the corrupt fiat system. I finally understood why it felt so wrong. The money printing. The value erosion. The control. But understanding the problem isn't enough. I need to be an active part of the solution. As I've scurried down the rabbit hole, his recommendation rings true: "Move your time and energy away from the system of control to the free market on Bitcoin." So that's what I'm doing. Transitioning my life to a Bitcoin standard. I'm not making this leap to buy a Lambo or own three beach houses. But to align my life with truth. Living according to sound, Biblical money principles instead of political manipulation. Building on mathematical certainty instead of central bank whims. And also, freedom. Freedom of time. Freedom of energy. Freedom to opt out of a system that steals from us all. I'll share every step here on Nostr in an on-going series - HODLer to Hyperbitcoiner. The practical moves. The mindset shifts. The lessons learned. I'm done investing my limited time and attention into a system built on coercion and theft. Time to pack up and move.

HODLer to Hyperbitcoiner Step #1: Change my daily denominator Buh-bye dollars 👋 Hello, Sats! 🤗 This may sound like a small mindset shift. It's not. (And I'll struggle with this new habit for a while.) When you measure in dollars, you're trusting in the benevolence of politically motivated statists. The Fed prints. Your denominator inflates. Your "growing wealth" is a lie. Just a bogus number on the screen. When you measure in Sats, you're trusting in mathematical scarcity bounded by energy. Fixed supply. No central bank. Purchasing power secured. If your ruler keeps changing, you can't accurately gauge anything in the market. So I'm switching rulers. Not "How many dollars is my Bitcoin worth?" But "How many Sats do I have?" This mental shift establishes a new standard in my life. A Bitcoin standard. 📏

Life is volatile. Babies arrive. Children die. Health thrives. Sickness strikes. Money flows. Finances crumble. Spouses unite. Marriages end. Our decisions affect many of these outcomes. But sometimes, they don't. Life just…happens. We get whipsawed from one event to the next. What do we grab hold of to anchor ourselves? Whom can we cling to that stabilizes our souls? I grasp the hem of Jesus. The Unshakable Rock. The Eternal Anchor. The rollercoaster of life will climb in an instant, plunge in the next, hit hairpin turns in the same decade, or year, or even day. The g-forces crush our chests. Our stomachs churn with every jerk and jolt. It feels like this wild ride will never end. Wait. Hear that? Listen through the rushing wind. A soothing voice. Announcing over the loudspeaker. We can disembark. At any time. With His help. Jesus reaches down from the clouds. His gentle hand calls. Grab hold. He will place you on solid ground. His Kingdom. Sure, life will always surprise you. He tells us to expect trouble. But life's volatility no longer holds power over us. Our thoughts, our intentions, our eyes stay fixed on One Man. The Son of Man. The Son of God. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Replace the volatility of this wretched world with the steadfastness of our all-knowing, all-powerful, all-loving Creator. It's the only chart that matters.
