I’ve been in contact with my local Police for two significant events in the last month and neither event was attended to by them, or had a report filed against them. One of those was a full-on fight amongst teens, started 1-1, then a group jumped in with a bunch of coward punches, turning it into 5-on-1, laying into the victim on the ground. Escalated directly in front of me whilst on the phone to the cops and they still weren’t able to get a vehicle there within 20 minutes. Unbelievably, the victim was able to get up and run away after a minute of some very heavy connections, yelling out two full names of the offenders as they went past. The Police response after I called them back to advise the culprits had moved on and offer the name details; “the victim will come in and report it if they wish to pursue it”. I can somewhat appreciate that, but they demonstrated no urgency to assist with an active and serious assault. And it makes you wonder how they keep score of crime figures if this type of shit isn’t recorded 🤷🏽♂️
