Was this something more than weather. The hash tags seemed to indicate something more than weather. This got me looking into aggregated data on federal travel bans over past decades. It appears to be a new trend since Trump’s presidency aside from some Cuba ban from Regan there’s not much historically. Couldn’t find much else aside from his executive orders and articles from CATO. 😏 Seems like something worth tracking a little more closely.

I think about my dad all the time. How much he would’ve loved bitcoin, Nostr and the state of open source development on these new decentralized rails. Sometimes I can hear his words in my head and happy he lives on through my siblings and I. Still, what I wouldn’t give to hear an original comment that only he could deliver.

Noticed the same with re to Nostr msgs. They’re not great for privacy, and apparently not very reliable either. I believe you’ll have my Signal link soon. Looking forward to helping wherever I can.

It’s not about human verification. It’s about their centralized approaches and making decisions for people. It’s also putting users at risk by creating a giant honeypot. Individuals wielding public/private key encryption, not only allows them to determine human from AI, but it also allows them to determine trusted AI from untrusted AI. The best approach is to allow people to build trust one connection at a time. We don’t need their help and we don’t need state regulation. Quit trying to “save us” with your panopticon. Decentralize or get out of the way. And as users we need to avoid these “conveniences”. You’re only helping to build your cell.
