Posted here a while back looking for like-minded families. Got silence. Trying again with more honesty. We homeschool. We're location-independent. We split time between North America and Europe. We've opted out of most default systems: school, career, geography, and we're mostly happy with those choices. What we haven't solved is community. We've tried the obvious paths. Expat groups. Worldschooler communities. One of those turned out to be an ideological cult that rejected us when we asked the wrong questions. We've met plenty of people. We haven't met enough of our people. Here's what I mean by that. Families who made deliberate choices rather than defaulting into a life. Who have real assets and real skills and aren't one algorithm change away from a different continent and a different friend group. Who understand that the coming decade will sort people into the resilient and the fragile, and have done something about which side they're on. Who are raising kids with some expectation of difficulty, because that's how capable people are made. Who know how to sit at a long table with good food and good wine and talk about things that matter and stay until it's late. We're not building a movement. We're not launching a community platform. We're looking for three or four families who want the same thing and are tired of not finding it. If this is you, not aspirationally, but actually, reply here or DM me. Tell me something real about your family and what you're building. That's all.
