Last week was one of joy and sorrow. I was honored to be the juror of selection and awards for the Florida Watercolor Society's 54th Annual Exhibition. It was a whirlwind of workshops, demos and presentations. The show will be on view through January at the Orlando Museum of Art, which is a beautiful venue. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. All the work looks amazing and I was blown away by the size of the crowds and the hospitality of FWS and OMA. Thank you to all the volunteers that made it a success. But it was also a week filled with sadness, and sometimes the bleakness of the world can feel overwhelming. I closed my exhibition review encouraging all the artists that we are made in God's image to create, and that they need to keep putting beauty and truth out into this dark world. "Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about these things." Philippians 4:8
