Meet little Sam, a bright and energetic kiddo who struggled with IBS for months. Conventional medicine helped at first, but over time it just stopped working—leaving tummy pains, bloating, and unpredictable bathroom trips as part of everyday life. 😔 We turned to homeopathy, and two remedies made a remarkable difference: ✨ China (Cinchona officinalis) – Keynotes: bloating, gas, and weakness after eating; better with rest, worse from rich foods. ✨ Carbo vegetabilis – Keynotes: intense bloating and gas, worse at night, belching brings relief; sluggish digestion, loves fresh air. With careful case-taking and individualized remedies, Sam’s belly started to settle, energy returned, and life got a whole lot brighter! 🌈 Could homeopathy be the gentle solution for your little one’s tummy troubles too? #LotusWellnessCottage #LotusSmartCharts #RobinMurphyND

When Your Friend's Kid Wakes Up With a Puffy Eye 👁️ Got a message from a friend this evening - her son's eye was looking super puffy, like a big under-eye bag. He'd mentioned it was crusty that morning and had been feeling irritated all day, like something was stuck in there or maybe in the tear duct. She asked if I had any homeopathic remedy suggestions, and honestly, this is one of those situations where a couple different remedies could work depending on what's really going on. The two main contenders: Apis - Great for puffiness and swelling that looks almost like a bee sting. Usually feels better with cold. Pulsatilla - The go-to for blocked tear ducts, especially when there's thick, crusty discharge in the morning and that feeling of something stuck. Here's where it got interesting: he said the eye felt cool and like warmth might actually help. That warmth-seeking is a Pulsatilla indicator. Plus, if it's a blocked tear duct (which the crusty mornings + under-eye puffiness + irritation really suggest), Pulsatilla is THE remedy for that. Beyond the remedy: Warm compresses are super helpful for blocked tear ducts. And there's a simple massage technique - gently massage from the inner corner of the eye down along the side of the nose. You're basically helping manually drain what's backed up. Do this a few times a day along with the remedy. My friend had already given Apis (totally fine!), so the plan is: let the Apis have a shot with a few doses over several hours. If there's no improvement, switch to Pulsatilla - especially if that blocked tear duct seems likely. The homeopathy approach: One remedy at a time so you can see what's actually working. Give it a fair chance (several doses over 4-6 hours), and if the body doesn't respond, that tells you it's not the right match. Then you switch. It's moments like these I'm grateful to have these remedies on hand and friends who trust natural approaches. Hoping that little guy's eye feels better by morning!

I have this friend — she’s 70, female, and seriously she is SPUNK. She walks FAST. Like power walking — this is her thing. She’s active, social, sharp, and she can out-walk most 30 year olds. But she told me one day that she leaks urine if she walks fast. Not when she’s sitting. Not when she’s just casually strolling. Only when she’s free and flying and charging forward like she loves. Immediately my brain went to Natrum muriaticum. The keynote isn’t “incontinence” — the keynote is involuntary loss when STRIDING / fast walking / exertion. That moment where the pelvic floor can’t “hold” when the person is in motion. And then everything else about her matched: Nat-m people: are usually quite capable + independent often do NOT want pity or sympathy may have stored grief behind a wall of competence are VERY sensitive under the surface (but will not show it) their nervous system is actually quite refined + reactive they keep moving because slowing down feels dangerous emotionally Nat-m urine leakage is almost symbolic: when she moves FAST and she’s in her power, some part of the body “releases” because it’s been holding too much — often for years. So instead of calcium or Kegel lectures, I said… “Try Nat-m.” Nat-m is for the person whose body expresses what the heart doesn’t cry. Nat-m is not a remedy for weakness — it’s a remedy for those who have been STRONG too long. And I love this for her because it honors the part of her that loves to MOVE fast. It doesn’t say “slow down.” It says “let your tissues release the load they’ve guarded for decades.” Sometimes the greatest remedy for incontinence is actually releasing the grief your body stored. Nat-m is for THAT person
