I don’t think Americans should worry about it at all.
You’re special, just the way you are.
Anyone else find this whole thing a bit off? Why is Google admitting this now? Why the “third party” qualifier on future use of fact checkers? Why the specific invitation to content creators thrown off the platform? The news is too superficial about this whole thing. Google’s actions are saying something their words aren’t. There’s a deeper story here, I’m just not sure what it is.
The Dad Tax has been a staple in my house from a young age. They think it’s funny at first, but quickly the humor fades.
This is why social media is probably the worst lens through which to digest the world. Social media, and also television news, are the just surface waves on an ocean of information, caused by the changing winds of loosely held opinions and knee jerk reactions. You want to be riding the currents.
They can only make the jump to implants if you become dependent on these first. Little domino: The Facebook, Medium domino: glasses, Big domino: ?

As a kid, I used to make these with peanut butter and sell them door to door to save money. Pure profit (because mom bought the ingredients, lol)!
Politics exists on a spectrum, sure. Not sure what your point is though.
Haven’t watched it as I was superhero fatigued early in the prior Marvel and DC cycles and still haven’t recovered. Maybe if it was a honest standalone with no plans to turn it into a franchise - probably would have been an entirely different film though than what they made.
There’s also this bizarre meta-free speech thing going on where the left is immediately jumping on the right for what they just did themselves not that long ago. But also not completely condemning it either. More just using as “proof” of both sides-ism. It’s all so tiresome.
It’s been wild to see the way things have been going. Speech control is like the one ring that the political class just can’t bring itself to destroy.
