It’s the security and mindset that a paid off home provides now, not when I pass that is meaningful to me. A paid off home and a plot of land is a powerful anchor that can provide stability.

I’m looking at the whole situation holistically. I’m with you - if I was a lone wolf I would errr on the side of never selling. Having a paid off family home gives my partner and children a sense of security that no BTC stack could ever provide. A combination of BTC backed loans, selling small amounts each year whilst stacking sats for ever, at this point in my life, is the best mix for prosperity and security. In 2021 we were at 69k. It’s deep into 2026 and we are at 79k. Tomorrow is never promised and BTC is just a tool that can be used to reach goals. Lots of ways to splice and dice it and I deeply understand why you would never sell 💫

I agree with Buy a home with a cuck buck deposit and pay down the loan over time using Bitcoin to turbocharge it. Effectively shorting the dollar and maintaining Bitcoin freedom and optionality. Every year, sell 2 months worth of mortgage repayments and make 14 repayments a year instead of 12 and keep your DCA happening at the same time. On a 1 million dollar mortgage over 30 years at 6% interest you would shave 8 years off the mortgage duration and save $385,000 in interest. A very conservative BTC plan that saves you buku dollars. 💸 You could do it for 10 years and then just pay off the loan in its entirety as well. Lots of ways to slice it. If I had a bigger stack I’d use BTC like and put down a 100% BTC deposit. BUT the last 5 years of BTC CAGR has been dog shit. Definitely better to have stacked gold to help with a mortgage strategy. BTC better do something fucking good this year / next year or 15% CAGR might even be pissing in the wind. Back to the fiat mines we go…
