Being Honest I wrote in my journal today the following: “I’m engaging the world with scepticism. It’s overwhelming and dominating my entire worldview” It isn’t a great way to view the world, but it is true to how I feel. It’s also not how I want to be in this world; especially for my kids. This is mostly impacting my work, where I question the value of everything but am also defaulting to scepticism of everyone’s intentions. Prior envy of those who seem to be driven by a purpose, or at least a belief in the value of what they do, now interpreted as performative bullshit to simply try and survive in the corporate world. A stubbornness brewing in me to not play the fucking game among corporations, who no longer feel the need to even pretend they give a shit about their people in an increasingly hostile world. I also know this linear way of thinking is nether accurate or healthy.
