Jim Rohn said that poor people have big TVs and rich people have big libraries. The goal was to emphasize the importance of independent education and taking responsibility for one's life. I didn't read much during school. I watched a lot of TV, and after watching cartoons and movies, books seemed too boring. In the last 5-10 years, I read a lot more books and watch a lot less TV. As time goes by, everything seems to pass faster and faster. That's why I don't want to spend it on irrelevant and stupid things. Only when you start reading do you realize how little you know. Only then do you realize that you choose the direction in which your life goes. You cannot blame your boss, nor a politician, nor a co-worker who gossips about you. A lot of it is a matter of understanding. And it's hard to understand where you're going wrong when you're focused on content that has the sole purpose of pointless entertainment. I'm not saying that everyone doesn't need pointless entertainment. You need that sometime. But the problem arises when this is the majority of the content we consume. Then we blame others because we don't understand that we can only blame ourselves. Read the book Rich dad, poor dad. It pays off. You will blame yourself and you will be glad. Because then you will know that you are the person who can improve your life.
