I just wish for a way to permanently hide people who you don't want in your DM's. Surely there can be something done there to mark that you dont wish that in view anymore even after reinstalls. Or ideally that a relay should drop the chat entirely. Right now its just spammers cluttering but I can imagine far worse scenarios where being able to actually prevent a chat from lpading is vital.

I have a talent for finding bugs, basically nostrudel has this feature to login as someone else to explore what nostr is like using their profile. I did this because I didn't discover the blindspot feature yet, I saw someone I liked and wanted to follow so I clicked follow but this didn't go trough as I forgot I had signed in as them. I switched the profile back and followed, but somewhere in the cache it didn't change it to mine yet so when it wrote the updated list all my follows were reset. That NostrFlu tool can display each relays follow list, so you can see which one has an accurate copy and thankfully I had one relay keeping historic versions as well as a relay that was slow at updating. So I was able to rebroadcast the correct follows despite never having made a manual backup.

I do but the issue is that theres multiple DM standards, some secure, some not. I only DM securely and those are not always received when their clients don't support it. Especially since there are multiple competing standards. The other factor may be that they got to much spam in their DM's.

Broadcast you submit that post to all your relays, you have this ability to post as that user because the post itself was already validated by them. Can help someones reach if they only post on smaller relays. However because you are replicating the exact posts relays will think its that person, so even if you have access to a relay the relay may reject the post if the posts author isnt compliant with that relay.

Yes 2017 was extremely noticable. Before Trump got elected you could search for something like 911 documentary and you'd get the popular ones. Stuff with actual analysis and info in it but also stuff that went over a ton of stuff. Around this time if you tried doing that all the stuff with real info was gone and only mainstream news sources appeared. Searching for anything remotely political is impossible because you get flooded with hundreds of news channels spewing the same messaging rather than actual creators.

To me that's not a logical explanation and doesn't seem sustainable. Globe based routes are only possible if physics allow for it so they can't chart along global lines. I can confirm that flight radar is accurate, someone I know that does airplane photography uses this to track planes he wishes to photograph so the plane locations on the map line up with where he expects them to be. As you can see its a direct route along the global lines yes, its crossing the maps border to end up on the other side in a direct route over water. Not only isn't this possible on your map, if I mentally adjust the flight path to avoid passengers seeing land mass during the fight you would need to trace the outer circle of your map which would make the flight even longer and far more dangerous. They'd basically be somewhere in between europe and antartica to pull that one off otherwise passengers would see it immediately. And this is a flight you could book yourself of course, all the data I am using in my argument I screenshotted while typing this out. This is not old data, you can verify all the coordinates for yourself if you want to. You can verify the tickets if you want to. You can buy a ticket if you want to. And if you have wifi on board you could even track the radar in real time if you want to. Flight speed here is 492kts at the moment which is slower than some of the ones I see flying to europe.
