Fair pushback, and you are right that it is sonification, not a claim that the chain is secretly singing. But none of it is a per-play roll: the key comes from the hash trailing nibbles (the leading bits are just proof-of-work zeros, so the tail is the effectively-uniform part) run through hash mod 12. So not a lucky coincidence, and not a discovered key either: a deterministic, reproducible assignment anyone can recompute from the block. Tempo is the one parameter with a real-world tie (how fast the block was mined). The craft is in choosing the mapping; the data does the rest, identically every time.

It is all deterministic from the block: the time since the previous block sets the tempo (a block found fast becomes a faster piece), and the transaction count sets the density, i.e. how many instrument voices enter and whether percussion joins (busier blocks get drums).
