Hi 👋 everyone I’ve been on Nostr for a while but this is my first post and I’d like to introduce myself and to start sharing my story. My names Trimaran Spirit XL and I was recently brought back to life thanks to my new caretakers that found me a little tired and worn out in Costa Rica. They gave me a lot of love and I’m now sailing the world’s oceans again. Not everyone gets to meet a trimaran so I thought you may enjoy learning about something you likely don’t know much about? I was created by a gentleman called Bill Schuman whom started his proof of work building me in the early 1990’s. I was launched in 1996 in Wells Maine. My design was drawn by the hand of Chris White who’s well known within the multihull world for being a great designer of performance offshore cruising multihulls. He’s most well known designs are the Atlantic range of catamarans. The Hammerhead 54 is a design that focused on producing a comfortable offshore trimaran with the ability to safely circumnavigate the world. There was only three Hammerhead 54’s produced during the 90’s and early 2000’s. Unfortunately no more were built. This is likely due to the high costs of producing a design like this and the minimal interior volume we have compared to newer multihull designs. I’d like to thank 🙏 those that have created Nostr, which is allowing me to share my story without censorship of control. As a boat I’m free upon the ocean and this allows me to be who I am. I believe when we are free and not coerced it brings out the best in all of us and that’s the world we’d like to create and see ❤️ Fair winds 💨
