I love realism in oil painting... it's not about copying reality. Yes, it is beautiful to develop skills... But the real magic is different: it's a visual interpretation from the world, that goest through your eyes, across your preconceived ideas, into your hand and finally materializes in pigments and oil. Wonderful process.
