I use minibits and it works well, tried cashu.me and zeus (on android) too but they required app to be open to zap when I tried them.

Ok great to know! Maybe it will start working again at some point. Going to try habla also because they seem focused on articles, but I would like for primal ro work since they have boh articles and notes

New on nostr, this is sort of a review of the process so far. Step 1: Primal I first started with Primal, which worked great on my phone (Android), zaps worked flawlessly because of Primal's integrated wallet which can send and receive btc both on chain and lightning. The main problem for me was that primal did not work well in the browser on my computer, where I would rather be using it since I plan to write articles. I would also prefer not have any social media on my phone because it is so addictive. Step 2: Jumble This led me to try several different nostr apps/websites, and unfortunately I found most of them very buggy, they were really struggling just to log in and show content. Eventually I found Jumble, which I find to work very well. Step 3: Cashu wallets I now needed a wallet for zaps to connect through NWC since Jumble does not come with an integrated wallet. Since I do not have my own lightning node, the options that were available seemed to be mainly Cashu wallets, which are E-cash and lightning wallets. I did not know about e-cash before, but it seems cool and probably useful (I think it's like bitcoin layer 3, where on chain is layer 1 and lightning layer 2). I really liked the design of the cashu.me wallet, but I encountered several problems with both sending and receiving lightning payments as well as restoring wallet and ended up loosing some sats. I then tried minibits, where I did not find the UI as appealing, but it seems to work really well. Compared to primal's wallet, the zaps are a bit slower. It also does not receive on chain payments so when topping up my balance from my main btc wallet I need an onchain/lightning wallet as an intermediary step, using Phoenix for this. Conclusion: So there has been some obsacles, but they taught me a lot. Feeling like I have done the nostr crash course XD I still deliberate whether the best solution is to just use primal since it has integrated wallet and I think even it has integrated signer. It is probably what I would recommend to a friend. I do however like having signer, wallet and nostr app/website separated so I do not feel locked in.

Author of The Self-Organizing System, a short but intense book where I explore the nature of reality, meaning, and consciousness and finally uncover the secrets of the superorganisms, creatures made up of bodies and shaped by technology. The book is available for free at my website selforganized.net and I encourage anyone to borrow and steal ideas from it and tell me what you think about them. My plan is to elaborate on the most interesting stuff through articles that I will publish on nostr. I am also a medical doctor working in Sweden, a devoted ₿eliever, and an aspiring nostrpleb.
