I used to work for a large utility company in Norway and we built a new consumer electricity company and I reach out to the largest Bitcoin community in Norway, we had serious consideration to allow payment using Bitcoin. Not a single person was interested. They didn't want to separate with their Bitcoin to pay. It was very unfortunate, because it could have happened.
My take away: User's want utility (the storage box in the front). They don't just want a bike, they want accessories. 😂
Thank you for all the sats all the time 💜🙏
I have updated the article editing experience greatly, hope this feels much better! https://youtu.be/pRyw3x-On54
It took just a few seconds 😀
Is there any Nostr accounts that publishes announcements whenever someone goes live? So instead of Nostr clients supporting live stream events, a user could just follow this profile and they'll get it in their feeds whenever someone starts streaming. Could be a great way to discover new streamers?
Here is the article editors compared. I'll remove the "New Article" headline, I'll move the fixed toolbar to the top and reintroduce the formatting toolbar that (I will keep the in-line hover toolbar as well (based on Medium editor). I'll move the abstract to the top after title, similar to Substack. Then I'll also look at the general UI of rest of Substack. I've had this idea of a e-mail service with summary sent every day, could combine this with an e-mailing/subscription like capability such as Substack.
I asked and he did reply, so it worked just fine 🤙
For "Preferred client", you could do "Default Native Client" and "Default Web Client", which will then open native client selection on the device. Prefixed with "nostr:" and "web+nostr:".
Thanks for testing! Great feedback, I'll get it done!
I just asked him an hour ago in a DM 😂 Implemented ecash widget in and wanted to test the "open in wallet" link on Android. Please share if you find a good one for Android.
That's fantastic! Thank you! I implemented it in and did a screen recording of it:
Would be great if this would publish Nostr events that clients could query. It could be sharded in multiple replaceable events, e.g. 100 or 1000 "p" tags in each event. So to get the WoT score for a bunch (or one) pubkey, it would require only a quick query and returned a single event with the data. These events could potentially be broadcasted to wide amount of relays.
Nostria runs on Azure and doesn't use any Cloudflare, so would be fine 😀 At least until Microsoft fucks it up.
I did quit my job to work on open source. One of my project is Nostria, a Nostr app and service provider. If I can reach 1500 paid subscribers I'd be able to sustain this app and service for as long as people want it. It's a challenge though to get there, have used a lot of my savings, did a pre-seed fund raising that was successful, which I'm very grateful for. Yet it takes time and dedication, which I got, but eventually the money runs out. Funding is an issue for a lot of open source, yet finding good business models for them shouldn't be that hard. Many projects only need enough to sustain the developers, not make a lot of extra profits. Truly hope that Nostria will be successful in the long run, it's shaping up to be a very nice Nostr app and the goal is to reach new user adoption.
