This has been a part of my entire life. It was in my grandparents' kitchen many years before I was born. My parents had a slightly newer one in their kitchen. I inherited this one a long time ago. And today, all it can speak is a repeating announcement, telling me to listen digitally. I *really* miss Test Match Special, that went a couple of years ago. I would ffequently turn it off in annoyance. But I'd always turn it back on. An rare remaining analogue input that I tresured in an otherwise digital world, even when it spouted nonsense.
