I've added a standalone notification service to relaykit. Since relaykit is 'always on', the notif service is always listening for relevant events. With iphone there's no way to avoid centralisation. although for graphene I have it using a bundled self hosted ntfy service, which in conjunction with the ntfy app on the device, allows for complete decentralised notifications. It has the same structure as any service in relaykit, with config/logs/etc. It also has an 'app', where you can configure what notifs you're interested in. Importantly the app has a flow to be PWAd onto your phone, and thus the notifs config and target all in one. The UX has room for improvement, but the structure is there. I want every part of the nostr experience to be code you run and host yourself. With notifs that means not being dependent on one/some apps. It also means you can configure notifs for whatever your needs dictate (plants, weather, cats, etc).
The state can't print bitcoin.
Sounds and looks great either way
Looks amazing. Although did you consider slipping in a little beef? Asking for a friend 😄
