Batteries are more toxic than gasoline. And less efficient. Aside from the fact that we don't even use them for wind and solar power stations.
It'll fail spectacularly
Literally creating a situation where the rich can hoard all the wealth.
Honestly Idk what this thread is about anymore. But yah I'm sure I didn't mean to say that I get to make up the rules as we go along
TIL he still worked there
Lol if that's your interpretation of what I said
But also the DEI movement isn't that type of inclusion
There's no argument for reparations. Any amount of money would be symbolic and arbitrary and ineffective at making a true financial difference. In the short term maybe some people can have some money but when you give people money they didn't earn they never keep it. There's been research studies on that. It's an empty gesture. It's based on the false premise that America is unique somehow in having fought people for land or having had enslaved people. No one born in America that's alive today has done either. I have no doubt that it would turn into some out of control spending spree where people receiving money would keep demanding more. Bc that's how people are when they get it. And I would ask how much money would it take to balance these things out? How much to make past slavery ok? How much to pay for the damages of the trail of tears? Of course the answer is that there's no amount. Which then begs the question what's it for in the first place?
Not broadly. In specific circumstances they do have that role.

The law says I can't decide not to sell my house to someone bc of gender or race or other demographics. I think that's fair. Why should I be allowed to offer preferential treatment in funding education? That seems to me to be a lot more important.
I'm not aware of any current policies that do this other than affirmative action. People get scholarships based on race and gender and other demographics. But I was thinking more of the leftist platforms that are being pushed to add new policies. Especially with things like paying reparations.
Do they know how crime works? Someone should tell them
I didn't think they didn't
It's not both sides. The Democrats even run on a platform that people should receive payment based on their demographics. They've made an entire hierarchy to rate people by race and gender and sexual identity and other demographic factors. I'm literally talking about a defined contest.
The left is just a big victimhood contest. Theres a big difference between being hateful and telling grown adults they need to act like it.
Steak n Shake is hardly a model for efficiency but OK
