I do miss Dollar Bill!
My take from Jack’s podcasts has me thinking it is to institutions what Strike is to plebs. Obviously massively simplified, 1,000 foot view
I knew you’d get to the bottom of it, as you are the coder! I’m lucky I can open apps 😂
I tend to agree on the second part. My frustration is born of being in a business, on boards, etc., where folks literally in their 80s refuse to pass the torch. So I stay humble, stack sats, and count down the days until I Galt’s Gulch out. I suspect many of us Xers won’t be noticed until we’re gone, lol.
GM ☕️ As someone still basically in his hometown, still with his core group of friends, 30 years later, I’m curious how much change I don’t notice. Deep pre-dawn coffee thoughts here.
I’ve started seeing signs up at stores, recently, on the rounding. I live in a part of the US where there are still cash only businesses or a lot charge 3-5% to use credit/debit. Bitcoin can fix this. Hoping the square merchants gain traction. I just turned it on for our HS concession stands.
Two pics, using Primal.
If you haven’t made the following from scratch: Chicken Cordon Bleu Caesar Salad You really need to. #foodstr
As a young Xer, I feel this too. At any other time in history the 45-55 year old group would have taken the reins of most institutions, but it is barely happening. Longevity is part of it, but these folks don’t know how to let go, how to not be the center of the world. I’m curious if this is a common 4th turning happening, largely responsible for institutions failing?
Thats a man, baby!! …… a horsey, horsey man
Lump sum. You could be dead in 10 weeks.
Yes. ‘Contractor time’ for the latter, and lets blame fiat (sometimes wive’s changes mid-work) for the former.
Turkey soup or stew, made using the carcass your non cooking savy hosts would just toss, is my favorite part of Thanksgiving. Well, right after a 2 day week, five day weekend. Come to think of it, that is my ‘retirement’ vision.
I’ve been hearing that since at least 2022
We sure did. Every mall had at least one arcade, and most restaurants, bowling alleys, etc., had a couple games. My earliest memories of games were buddies older brothers forgotten Atari’s. Then the Christmas when I was 5 or 6 (85 or 86), I got a Nintendo, as I was the oldest. Literally had teenagers asking if they could come play 😆 90s saw it advance so fast. If we didn’t have beer or girls, we were playing Golden Eye or Mario Cart on the 64. Oh, and the world sucked a lot less, and the majority of my childhood was outside, unsupervised, and glorious.
I’ve never heard him speak before. Great English. I like living in a time and place where English is the dominate language.
