Sounds like a great idea π completely rational!
I watched a crow fly off a pole I watched it fly over me I saw it drop a poo I watched the poo fall I dodged the poo [I did not get pooed on by a crow today - a short poem by Avis] I have been slowly suffering from never ending sunstroke. I urge everyone to please wear a hat.
Oh wow! I remember seeing someone doing this last year but being too late with my treesπ Does it truly taste like vanilla and coconut?
I'm glad to see I have a reputation π¦ββ¬ your mug came out, it's.... Muggy. I'll try and get the video finished tonight π€
If you give them energy dense food they can prioritize you! City crows have a tight schedule. They know which shops put out trash at which time, they meet with other Crows to gossip etc Consistency is key. They will want snacks at the same time reliably. I don't have a set schedule, because my crows are county crows (and therefore bored) so they just know to hoppity hop on my studio roof to get my attention. They they won't extort you because they are team players and you are friend. They might play a joke on you and laugh though!
In the beginning, my crows really hated being watched when they eat, but I just sat 20 feet away with my coffee and forced them to get used to me β Eventually they brought their baby to see meπ¦ββ¬
I feed them dried cat/dog food pellets because I am a poor, but they like raw meat and peanuts in the shell (they like a challenge) They like to dunk their food into water, and with the heat they would probably appreciate a drink. Crows keep their beaks open to stay cool so they look a bit stupid in the summerπ¦ββ¬
A fair bit in theory but not much in practice πΌ I've been hanging out with mine for about 6 months and they still won't eat from my hand π€·ββοΈ They do chase away hawks and coo at me though. I'm up in the mountains so the crows are extra suspicious of humans. It takes a long time and consistency to get them to trust you, but once they do the connection is deeper. City crows are easier to befriend, but they have shit to do so they won't spend much time with you.
Gorgeous garlic, jealous!
There was that whole "proof of work" discussion at the beginning so I thought I'd better film it π It's the first time I've ever edited video, it takes like a million years. Never again will I be rude about "influencers" π
Surprisingly terrible and surprisingly three hours long π± The mug has been waiting to go into the kiln for a good two monthsπ΅ I've even been filming and editing together a "making of" video so you will be able to watch me go from double hoodie and sweater to single t shirt and shorts as I procrastinate my way through the process π
My first sunflower is starting to bloom π₯Ή I went to see one of my friends at their university's a capella society concert and it was surprisingly terrible. Then I went mushroom hunting and got about 30 mosquito bites π Overall a bad day, 2/10π π Today after work I swung by an antique store with a friendly owner. Had a good chat. Overall a great day 10/10 I think short spurts of social activities after work might be better than full days off (which I often find unfulfilling). Hmm. Got a present for a baby, saw a friend's sister got married. Looked at mug sitting on the shelf waiting to get cooked. Dug a potato.
