Colonia Zacamil is a place where every wall and every corner carries history. A history that speaks loudly of the resilience of the people of El Salvador. Shaped by terror, and now rebuilt through art, Zacamil reminded me how beautiful it is to be Latino. No matter where we are born, we breathe the same spirit, the same openness, the same instinct to welcome new horizons with hope. Today, Colonia Zacamil feels like a garden of possibility. Through art, Custom Made Stories Foundation has brought the joy of its people back onto the very buildings they call home. It’s not every day that taking photos shakes my soul and reconnects me with my own identity. I left feeling humbled and deeply grateful to have experienced this place.
