Tether is fundamentally centralized because fiat is fundamentally centralized.. as a result this will have no critical change in their ability to censor, however. lightning and RGB are far more private and leave a far lower footprint for user data, thus likely making it more difficult for censorship interested parties to target users and thus be able to put effective pressure on tether to censor.
